The Thing (1982) - The Thing (1982) - supernatural creature that is able to transform into shape inside an isolated research facility in Antarctica offers a masterclass of suspenseful and practical action movies effects. Direction by John Carpenter is masterful, and the performances by the actors, particularly Kurt Russell, are all outstanding.
